*** Breaking News***Today 2-23-18 a Casey County one call from Marion Sowders Superenrindent, was sent to parents that an incident had taken place at Casey County High School. With police involved, the threat was Force & Violence. The call also said there is no threat, current or immediate. Sowders continued that any and all threats will be dealt with with extreme priority and seriousness.

Boil Water Advisory is Lifted
This is now cancelled 2-24-18 RCW 6:36pm. The City of Liberty has experienced a water main leak on hwy East 70 on Thursday 2-23-18, All of Liberty is under a Boil Water advisory til further notice, expect at least Saturday before it is lifted. Boil water at a rolling boil for 1 minute.
The East Casey County Water District also has a Boil Water Advisory due to purchasing water from the City of Liberty. expect 2-3 days for news. There was excessive odorant used to in the line that feeds to Liberty. According to the workers the smell should continue to go away.The agent used is thought to be Mercaptan*********
There is no gas leak detected in Liberty only the odorant that was released from a Button Knob gas compressor station during the night, the fumes moved into the Liberty area early Friday morning. Numerous calls cane into dispatch and the Liberty Maintenance workers could not find any leaks, monitors were used at schools for concerns. Congratulations to Isaac Kidd and Zachary Carman on their win at the Bulldog Open on Lake Herrington. They won in a field of 50 boats by having 9.60 lbs. They also had big fish. Casey had four boats in the top 12. Way to go boys.
