William A Pete Bryant, 80, of Shelbyville, passed away in his home, surrounded by
his family on, April 7, 2012. Pete was born on March 12, 1932 in Casey County to the
late Joseph and Allie Cochran Bryant, of Liberty. Pete was united in marriage to
Gladys French Bryant on August 10, 1957, and had two children, Randy Lee Bryant
of Shelbyville and Kimberly Sue Bryant Wilder, of Waddy. He had two grandchildren,
Marissa Pearl Wilder, of Lexington and William Damian Wilder, of Waddy. Pete
served his country, in the Army at Fort Carlson, CO and Fort Hood, TX from 1955
thru 1957. While Pete was a lifelong gardener, he did retire from International
Harvester, Louisville, in 1988. Pete was known for his generosity and his talent at
engineering and repairing. Besides his family, he is survived by many beloved
relatives including his son-in-law, William David Wilder of Waddy, and his
granddaughters,  husband, Chris Boggs Wilder, of Lexington, two sisters, Marjorie
Luttrell of Shepherdsville and Elizabeth Burton, of Columbia, sister-in-law, Lucille
Bryant, and brother-in-law, Haskell Murphy, both of Liberty, 10 In-Laws, and 24
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Brother, Ray Bryant, his
Sister, Ruby Bryant Murphy, both of Liberty, two Brother-in-laws, Jay Burton, of
Columbia and Tom Luttrell, of Shepherdsville. Funeral visitation will be held at
Shannon Funeral Home, Shelbyville,Ky on Monday, April 9, 2012 from 11:00 - 3:00,
followed by the service.
